Review: Steins;Gate

If you are a fan of Sherlock or Doctor Who (in case you don’t know what those are, they’re series about time travel and detective-ish stuff), then this anime is totally for you!

This is a story about a scientist Okabe Rintarou and his lab members’ adventure with time as they struggle to fight with an evil organization, SERN and stop it from executing its evil plans and saving planet Earth from a dystopian future.

It starts off as really confusing. You don’t know what’s going on. But as you watch more episodes, you finally get the drift. The theory behind time traveling and parallel universes is really amazing also a bit traumatizing (for some people).

The characters in the show are absolutely delightful. The chemistry between the two protagonists is wonderful. This anime is a perfect balance of everything. I would recommend it 10/10.

  1. It is confusing when you first start this, but it’s kind of the good confusion where you know if there will be answers and that the story is going somewhere, and certainly the payoff once you get there in Steins;Gate is worth it.
